The complete publication of the National Infrastructure Plan will be announced at the beginning of 2020.

President López Obrador jointly with the business sector presented on Tuesday, November 26th, the National Infrastructure Investment Agreement of the Private Sector (hereinafter the “Agreement”), in the context of the Federal Government’s National Infrastructure Plan, which foresees in an initial package 147 projects to be implemented in the remaining five years of the current six-year period and which aims to achieve an annual investment in infrastructure of 5% of GDP.

The Agreement was created as a tool to facilitate and accelerate the implementation of projects that contribute to the growth and development of the country, as well as to establish a mechanism of continuous participation in which projects will be followed up; through the synergy of the public administration and the private sector, proposing the latter projects that require mostly private investment, and that do not generate new public debt.

The 147 projects consider the entire country and represent a total private investment of $859,022 million of Mexican pesos ($42,951 million USD), which will be distributed in different sectors such as transport, tourism, telecommunications, water and sanitation, health, among others. Being the first three economically the most benefited and the health sector the least.
